Nau mai haere mai - Welcome to 2018

It is with great excitement that we welcome our students, both new and returning, and their families, to the PNINS 2018 school year.

Over the next 12 months, we will be trialling a variety of new programmes and initiatives. We look forward to working with you all to gather valuable feedback regarding the impact that these changes have had on you and your children.

There will be a focused move to further develop communication between home and school through a variety of online platforms, such as the school’s Facebook page, the PNINS school app, and this website. These platforms will be used extensively to keep parents up to date, and will replace paper notices such as the fortnightly newsletter, sports registrations, and IT agreements. These forms will not be sent out in paper copy, unless requested by parents. All forms can be completed online - primarily through the school website.

As with all new initiatives, we anticipate some teething problems along the way. During this time, we value your feedback and we appreciate your patience. Together, we can ensure that your needs and the needs of your child are recognised and met.

Over the years, we have found that many intermediate age students and their parents feel they needn’t be as involved in school as they were during their primary years. However, here at PNINS, we place great value on ‘face-to-face communication’. We urge parents and caregivers to take up our invitation and make contact with the school when necessary, to ensure that your child gets the best possible education.

We look forward to welcoming you, reconnecting with you, and embarking on a stunning 2018 together.
